London, Tuly 25., At a meeting of a committed favouring the repeal of tho "Cat and Mouse" Act, held in tlio Oaxton Hull, a letter was read from Mr. Asquith, tho Primo Minister, stating that if tho findings of tho conforouco wero submitted in writing ho would givo them careful consideration, but ho added that it did not appear to him that any good purpose would bo served by receiving a deputation with refcrenco to tho Act, wTiicli was recently passed after full debate.
