George Jackson, adopted a report, by thirty-six votes to twentyseven, to the effeot that Mr. Jackson is in perfect genoral accord with Wesleyan doctrine, but evidently desired to re-state, in the light of modern knowledge, the authority of Holy Scripture. Nevertheless, tho committee regretted Mr. Jackson's insufficiently-guarded and unhap-pily-expressed statements were liable to misunderstanding.
