The proposed Order-in-Council is intended to be intituled "The City of Wellington Electric Tramway Ordor No. 9." The provisions of the proposed OrderI in-Couoicil are as.follow;—. . PART I.—The Council is empowered to i nin over all routes in the city cars coupled together. The couplings 6hall bo approved by the Minister. Each car is to have brakes capable of application 'by the motorman, and provision is to be made for 6ignals being'given to the motorman from each car. PART ll.—The Council is empowered to ran trailer cars oa tho Government Sta-tion-Newtown route and on Thorndon and Oriental Bay routes.. '.Trailer cars axe to be provided with numbers, lifeguards, communication crads to motormen, couplings, brakes, and are to be lighted as in the caso of tram cars. A conductor shall be carried on each trailer. PART lll—The Council is authorised to extend the tramway from the existing terminus to Newtoirn to the Newtown Park. The extension will bo along Riddiford Street and Roy Street to the entrance to the PaTk from Daniel Street. PART IV.—The Council is authorised to construct in Willis Street, from Manners Street to Aro Street, a further lino of track, tho existing single line being by this means converted into a double lane. PART-V.—Tho Council is authorised to construct from Aro Street to Brooklyn a further lino of track, tho present single line being by this means converted into a double line. PART VI.-WORKERS FARES.-The Council is empowered to issue in lieu of the workers tickets at present in uso 6trip return, tickets to workers at tho following Tates: —2 sections, Is.; 3 tectione, Is. fid.; I sections, 2s. Such tickets shall be available on any car starting from a terminus in the City before 7.30 a.m., and bo available for return by any ordinary time-table car leaving any terminus in the City after 8 a.m. Sucn tickets shall not I be availablo on holidays or Sundays, and may J«r obtained from all places wh«ro concession ticket? aro on sale.
