' Next Friday at tho Town Hall Haydn's masterpiece, The Creation," will be performed by the Royal Wellington Choral Society under the conductorship of Mr. Christian Hellemann. Madame Mary Oonly has been specially engaged by the society at considerable expense to sing the soprano solos, Mr. Sydney Butler will sing the tenor solos, while tho baritone work will be undertaken by Mr. John Prouse. A very successful rehearsal was held last evening, and. Mr. Hollemann is leaving no stono unturned to inako this performance the firicst.'.oyatorio perform-, ance vet given in this city. A full rehearsal will be hold in St. John's Schoolroom on Monday night, and the final in tho Town Hall on Thursday at 7.30. Tho booking is very heavy, but there are still a number of seats left at the Dresden. Tho prices of reserved seats are l Is. and 3s. A supply of Is. and 2s. tickets is also on sale at' the Dresden box office. His : Excellency the. Governor and Lady Liverpool will bo present at the performance.
