Present indications aro for strong west to south-westerly winds, cold, Equally, and changeable weather, with heavy ehowcrs passing over many parts of tho country, especially the West Coaet and southern districts of tho South Island. Tho barometer is still unsteady, but 13 due to Tiso everywhere Strong west to south-westerly winds with gales in tho vicinity of Fovouix Strait. Bain haa fallen on tho West Coast and. southern districts of tho South Islcnd, but cold and fair to clori'dy weather has prevailed generally. Tho barometer h0.3 continued to fall in the south., Ghowintj a remarkablo redistribution of pressure, with a storm area delaying off the coast of Now South Wolce. D C.
