VALLANCE COOK MISSION.
There was a large attendance last evening at tho Vallanco Cook Mission. After a brief song service, the Eev. Dr. Hughes offered prayer. Tho Bey. Mr. Cook selected as his text Jtom. iii., 1: ' 1 wseeclii you therefore by., the mercies o^ uoil to present your bodies a living sacrifice." Paul (said tho speaker) hero exhorts all who have been converted to consecrate themselves. Every Christian is called to act as his own priest to offer his body for service, and to present to God everything that is comprised in a personality. Our surrender must bo unconditional. The whole life should be fully and completely placed at God's disposal. Under the law tho sacrifice was dead; under the Christian system it is a living sacrifice. The preacher emphasised the duty of taking care of tho body. Ho nlso pointed out tho difference between conversion and censecrntion. la the former man; receives; in tho latter man gives. At the closo of tho service the uiissioner urged those who were willing to consecrate themselves to God's service to come forward and sign a pledge of loyalty to Christ. A number responded.
