study of scientific farming in tlio secondary schools. 2. Returns from sale of products satisfactory. 3.—Railways and roads satisfactory. 4.—Postal facilities good, but cheaper rural telephone system required. s—Shows are proving of direct benefit, G—The work of the Department of Agriculture lias been highly beneficial to the district. 7.—Organisation for buying and selling fairly satisfactory. B.—Government settlers very prosperous. Further subdivision would be welcomed. 9.—Labour supply fairly satisfactory, but quality of new arrivals indicates that better selection is required at Home. 10.—Meeting not in a position to ea.y. 11. Improved social intercourse by means of closer settlement, cheaper telephones, antl a more liberal allowance of holidays to farm labourers.
