At a meeting of the W&irarapa and Hast Coast P. and A.' Society, Mr. E. Eagle, jun., presiding, Mr. G. E. It was . reported that the - Ladies' Committee had met and struck out some classes in last year's programme, - and added new ones to the honK> industries and children's classes, the total increase in the cost of Srizo money being .82 '10s. . Mr. A. W. _ urns, ')'headmaster" of the 1 Carterton School, wrote suggesting extra classics for school children, .'and I-that ii meeting of teachers be called to consider the matter.' Mr. xlloward Booth was accorded a vote of thanks for his-donation-of timber for covering the pens for the first soven cows in the' butter-fat competition. Mr. J. M. Lightfoot was accorded a hearty vote of thanks for his trouble in procuring samples of prize ribbons and members'badges of thie New South Wales Royal Agricultural Society, during his holiday in Sydney.
