Five directors of Loquell's Building Society at Birmingham are being prosecuted, upon allegations that they advanced themselves money borrowed from the bankto purchase property, which, however, they did not buy. Tho money was invested in a system of provision against old age, and lost. The company owes ,£15,000, and thero aro no assets.
