VALLANCE COOK MISSION,
The inclement weather no doubt seriously interfered with tho attendance at tho Vallaneo Cook mission last evening. Notwithstanding this, tho missioner gavo a yery ■ earnest and lucid address on' regeneration. Clearly and forcibly ho emphasised that the new birth does not oonsist of tho acceptance of a creed, nor tho trust therein, but a life of deeds or service. Tho preacher frankly admitted that the now birth was not explainable from tho. human side, but he reminded his hearers that wo command many forces in nature which we do noit fully understand, but we see their effects. So when God, by' the power of. His Spirit, transforms a human life, tho effects aro seeu. . Tho sen-ice,' though not so largely attended, was one of remarkablo interest.
