THE "SMART SET."
Tho "Smart Set" Entertainers, who aro to givo their entertainment at the Town Hall on Saturday next, under tho direction of Walter Ci'eorgo nnd Maynard Dakin, has doubtless been looked forward to with a great deal of interest by tlw music-loving public. The "Smart Sot" consists of eight artists, who have mado their mark in many countries, including England, America, South Africa, and various parts of Australia, and are now just concluding a successful eight weeks' season at Auckland. Such papers as tho "Bulletin," Melbourne "Age," and "Argus" rater to them as being in the front rank of delightful, bright, and musical entertainers. The "Smart Set" thereforo come to tho Dominion with a brilliant reputation, which, it is stated, has been fully upheld during the mesont season, in Auckland. Mr. MaynardDakin (comedian), whose previous visits here are doubtless remembered for his two spirit of inncecnt comedy and extremely fino acting, is also a member of tho combination. A very novel feature of the programme is Mr. Edward Elliott's ventrolorjuial turn, in which he is assisted liy "Sunshine James," the mechanical figure, and each member of tho company is included in this clever item. Mr. Walter Gcorgo (entertainer), Miss Georgio Martin (dancer and comedienne), Miss Emily Kroll (contralto), Miss Mona Thomas (soprano), Mr. Ernest Parlies (baritone), and Mr. Edgar Hulland (solo pianist and accompanist) comprise the members of the company.
