Messrs. Dalgety and Company report:—ln conjunction with our monthly wool, skin, and -hide Halo at Palmerstoi* North, wo offered our second special crutohing catalogue, which consisted of 160 bales and ail extra, largo quantity of sacks. Wo also offered a Jargo catalogue of 6heepskins, comprising about 40CO, and about 400 hides, with the ueual lots of tallow and sundries. There wore a largo number of buyers in attendance, there being several representing foreign manufacturers, as well -as buyers from all parte of the Competition! was very keen, but prices in -sympathy with other markets declined from Id. to id. per lb. Sheepskins and hides sold at last sales rates. Abraham and Williams, Ltd., report:—We held our usual monthly eale on Friday, July 18, and offered a good catalogue to a fair attendance of buyers. Bidding for wool and hides was very fciimated, but for gkins thero was a lesser demand. Our oflering of wool comprised chiefly crutchings, amongst which thero were eorno very nice lots. We had to pass a few bales owing to the growers having placed an altogether too high reserve on them.
