Tho Waihi Gold-mining Company's plant at Horahora is nean-ing completion, and is cxpccted to be ready to put into oporor tion by tho end of the present year.' At Ilorahora itself the work of constructing the water-race and erecting the rubbince, generators, dynamos, and other portions of tho plant has been, practically completed, and an early reduction, in tho number of hands employed may be anticipated.
