TRADE OPPORTUNITIES AT VLADIVOSTOK. By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyrisht Brisbane, July 19. Mr. Arnott, formerly chief engineer of the steamer Guthrie, who was a passenger by the steamer ICumauo Mam from Japan, says that tliero is a great opportunity for the export of meat to Vladivostok, where the Europeans are rapidly increasing. The Guthrie is now conveying meat from Tientsin to Vladivostok.. Although it is inferior compared to Australian, it is sold at a shilling a pound. Some mutton brought Is. Bd. a pound. Tlio port is open seven months yearly. Other centres, says Mr. Arnott, await exploitation, and plenty of back loading is obtainable.
