The Weekly Day of Rest Bill has been introduced in the House of Commons. Under the provisions of tho.Bill, Sunday employment is declared to be unlawful. With certain exemptions, it prohibits the sole of tobacco and newspapers for moro than two hours of the day. The work of tho newspapers must bo over beforo 6 a.m.; tho sale of bread is prohibited after 10 a.m.; milk, after 10.30 a.m.; bathing machines between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m. Jews are exempted oh condition that their 'business premises aro closed from nightfall on the Friday until Saturday, provided that their customers and their assistants art Jews also.
