HOSPITAL BOARD.
The monthly meeting of the Wellington Hospital and Charitable Aid Board was held yesterday afternoon, there being present: The Rev. W. A. Evans (chairman), Mrs. D. M'Laren, the Rev. ,T. K. Elliott, Messrs. H. Baldwin, D. Campbell, F. Castle, H. Freeman, W. Galloway, B. R. Gardener, I). M'Laren, F. T. Moore, J. W. MTSwitn, G. Nash, D. Robertson, and J. Smith. Tiie question re the proposed maternity ward was held over until tho return of the medical superintendent. The acting-medical superintendent was instructed to arrange for the addition to the stall' of four outside certificated nurses. Tenders aro to bo invited for'the installation of a new storage battery for the electric motor at the Otaki Sanatorium.■ On the recommendation of (ho Finance, Properly, and Policy Committee, accounts amounting to .£3595 16s. sd. were passed for payment. The details were: Wellington Hospital, .£3732 2s. 10d.j Charitable Aid and Oliiro Home, ,£1315 Os. Dd.; Otaki Hospital and Sanatorium. ,£327 18s.; head office, public health, and district nurse, ■£22(1 Its. lOd. The appointment as collectors of Mr. William Scott (out of 153 applicants) and of Mr. W. S. Cooper, who has been actingcollector sinco February 1012 was confirmed.
