A petition for presentation to his Majesty the King has been signed by 470 teachors and graduates of University, asking that Mrs. Pankhurst bo pardoned. Mrs. Pankhurst Is provisioning her flat at Westminster in anticipation of a police siege. TWO OUTRAGES. MAIL SORTER BADLY INJURED. (Rec. July 17, 11.20 p.m.) London, July 17. A determined attempt has been made to burn down the stands at the football ground at Doncaster. A sorter on duty in the post office was stamping a letter .addressed to Mr. John Dillon (M.P. for East Mayo), when it exploded. The sorter's hand was badly injured.
