DISPERSAL SALE.
A sale that should interest dairy farmers and fancies of Holstein cattle, will be held at Rongotea. on July 22, on account of Mr. Charles Hopping, who has disposed of' his property. The studs include the bull Dominion do Kol Domino, his dam being tho champion State farm cow Domino, whose rccord for 19111912 seasons reads: 22,0611b. milk, 787.581b. butter-fat. The other stud bulls comprise one 4-year bull bred by New Zealand Government, ono 4,year bull bred by Mr. W. I. Lovelock, one yearling and one 2T.vear-old bull of Newton King strain, and one six. weeks bull calf by Grieg bull Belted -Knight. .The dam of this bull, Longbeach Ideal, also bred by Mr. J. C. N. Grigg, is amongst tho females to be offered, and her record for June last shows 56ilb. of milk per day.' Three Grig» bredheifers bred to Longbeach Belted Kni?ht, and'threo State farm heifers bred to Oak do Kol, comprise tho balanco of the, Btud females, witfi tho exception of two purebred Appendix,ll cows. Tho grade Holsteins include one particularly nice yearling bull by a Section I sire, dam' Appendix II cow, and also 34 grade yearling Holstein heifers, and 23 grade vearlinc bulls,' all by stud bulls. Tho dairy herd comprises some 46 grade Holstein "and 49 Jersey Shorthorn' cross cows. The cows 'are stated by tho auctioneers to be all young, and are nearly nil July and August calvers. As Mr. Hopping has sold his farm every lot (witli tho exception of the stud, on which thero will only bo a" slight reserve) will bo sold to the highest bidder.' Intending purchasers are asked to communicate with tho auctioneers; Messrs. Dalgety and Company, Ltd., Queen Street, Palmerston North, so that conveyances to'sale 'may be arranged.
