VALLANCE COOK MISSION.
A large audience / assembled last night in tho Wesley Church, 'Tarniiaki Street, 'in connection with the Yallance Cook Mission. The united choir sang selections from the Alexander hymnai prior to the services. At 7.15 the service. commenced. 'l'hf Rev. J, G, Chapman offered prayer, after which the Rev. Mr. Vallance Cook read from the third, chapter the Gospel" oi St. 'John,''making "comment as lie read. Mrs. Cooky, who. delivered the; address, selected tor her subject the parable o! "The Lost Sheep." The address was-re-plete with practical lessons aptly illustrated. ■' and was listened to with great attention by all present.- Mrs..Cook, who lias a pleasant, voico nnd great natural gifts as a speaker, will tell her li{'_> stovy on Monday evening next. This afternoon, at 3 o'clock, tlio Missioner will deliver ;i lecture to women on the words "Woman Wife, Mother."
