During an Orango festival at Belfast, opposing mobs in York Street stoned, each other in tho early hours, the rioi lasting an hour. Police' reinforcements, were summoned. Bottles were thrown and Tevolvens fired. Several policemen and civilians were injured before the mob was di&. persed. Fifty thousand marched in processiq.n to tho residence of Captain Cnaiig (Unionist M.P. for Down), where t'bey adopted a. resolution that it was a c'ffity to complete all preparations to resist by force decrees on behalf of a Nations .list Parliament. Sir Edward Carson, Wi.P., was present as the bearer of a merssago from Mr. Bonar Law (Leader of.' tho Unionist party) that whatever steps Ulster loyalists might feel compeJJ.ed to take—constitutional or ultimately 'unconstitutional—they would have tho whole ■of tho Unionist party, under his. leadership, behind them. Sir Edward Carson declared that Home Rulo woul'j, never become laiv in Ulster. If the "Bill was passed the loyalists would assu'me provisional government, and refuse : to pay direct taios, FOREBODING IN SYDNEY. Sydney, July 14, Many speeches in condemnation of Home Rule and predicting disaster if the Bill is carried were made at the Twelfth of July celebrations.
