AGAINST REPUBLICAN PORTUGAL. By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright (Sydney "Sun" Special—July 11, G. 30 p.m.) Brussels, July H. • A ship laden with arms and ammunition, and carrying half a million marks in cash (,£25,000), intended to be utilised in the restoration of tho Monarchy in Portugal, is ashore on the Belgian coist. The Dowager-Duchess of Bavaria, mother of the Queen of the Belgians, is the consignor and has demanded tho surrender of the arms and money. The King of the Belgians, acting under tho rules of International Maritime Law, has refused tho Duchess's demand. The Dowager-Duchess of Bavaria is a sister of the Duke of Braganga, a former pretender to the throne of Portugal, in tho days of the Monarchy.
