Many of tho roadd in tho district aro in a bad way, and jl greater expenditure ,of public money! would increase tho products of tho land* bv providing a better means of transit. ,'i. Postal and telcphpno requirements being well served, but a lessening of thd .cost of the erection and extension of rural' telephones would be a great benefit to thp) district. \ *>• ' „ ~ ' 5. Yes; shows aro of benefit, as they arq tho means of stimulating . competition! givo comparisons, and promote a spirit ol friendly rivalry and emulation. G. Yes; tho Agricultural Department 18 doing excellent work. Tho experiments carried out by its officers aro l>eing closely watched by the farmers, and tho exact km suits being copied by them. All tho farmers in this district recogniso _ that tlid Agricultural Department is doing splew did work, 7. No. It is extrenvcly difficult to got the farmers .to combine.
