Many of them in the early days liavo a hard struggle. Much of tho rough Crown lands is priced too high, and wliat with tho high wages and scarcity of labour, and also tho high cost of living, and grass seed (unless they start with a considerable capital), aro heavily handioapped. U.—No; labour is very scarce. 10.—Yes; 10s. per day, and hard-to get at that. ' 11.—Moro grit among tho farmers themselves.
