Their Majesties toured the pitmen's towns of Newton lo Willows, Ashton-under-Lyne, Abram, Hindley, and Wigan. Tho landscapo consisted chiefly of colliery shafts. Tho greeting of tho King and Queen was enthusiastic. The pit-brow lassies are living in tho streets. They disappointed tho Royal .visitors by yearing thJeir best clothes. (Sydney "Sun" Special—July 13, G. 30 p.m.) London, July 12. Tremendous crowds greeted thoir Majesties at Livprpool. Tho King, in a speech at the School of Tropical Medicine, stated that the study of tropical modicino was of inestimable value in promoting the health and prosperity of tho Dominions. Tho King inspected several miles of shipping in the harbour. A dense crowd caused a wall to collapse, and two juqo and a girl were injured.
