Miss May Huxley, who has been engaged to appear with John M'Cormaek during his forthcoming tour of Australia, is a brilliant young English soprano who lias made an unusual success on the London concert platform. She is the daughter of a urinter of Walsall (England), and says tnat she has lwen singing ever since she was a child. For the last five years she has been under the care of Madame Albani, who already predicts a big future for her. At nineteen she won her L.R.A.M., and made her first professional appearance at Western Super-Mare in July, 1900, and, in November of tho same year, had so far advanced in popularity that slio was singing with such wellknown celebrities as Kirkby Luun and Ada Crossley. Alberto Randegger, the famous musical authority, regards her as a rare artist, and once told her mother that her daughter belonged not to her, but to tho nation.
