Tho progress report of the inspectors ■ appointed to investigate the affairs of the Colonial Mutual liifo Assurance Society states that tho reports of.tho valuers appointed to mako valuations o£ the society's freehold and leasehold properties in Australia, New Zealand, and South' Africa wero received in time, but had not yet been submitted to an actuarial investigation. They would bo thoroughly scrutinised. Certain questions in connection with the industrial department remain to bo examined into.
