A petition, signed by 45,000 persons, has been presented'to. tho Home Office, asking for the release of Stiuie Morrison, found guilty of the murder of a French or Russian Jew named Beron, at Clapham, on December 31, 1910, and sentenced to death, the sentence being afterwards commuted .to imprisonment for life.
