Melbourne, July 10. Both Federal Houses passed six weeks' Supply. Tlio House-has adjourned till August 12, and the Senate till August 13, to enable the Government to prepare a policy. , Tho Hon. J. 11, Fowler (Ministerialist) has been elected Chairman of Committees of tho House, and Senator O'lteofe of the Senate. Senator' Rao has' given notice of motion in favour of tho abolition of compulsory military' service, ar.d Senator Heady ono in favour of tlvj establishment of a fleet of Commouwcxlth-owned overseas and inter-State steamers. Mr. Cook, the Prime Minister, after consultation with Mr. Fisher (Leader, of tho Opposition), announced that an inquiry! would be held into alleged double voting at the elections. COUNTRY PARTY FORMED. Sydney, July 10. The Farmers' and Settlers' Association Conference, after a lengthy discussion, resolved, by 208 votes to 96, to .form, a straight-out political pai'ty of their own.
