A sharp rise took place in prices of fat cattle. St-ore sheep and fat lambs showed practically' no change,' the offerin ce of the latter being mu<?h smaller than last t week. Vat «hcet» were firm at the previous week's prices, and fat pig-s eold well. Store sheep: Best forward hoggets made 14s. 4d. to 159. lid.; medium, 13s. to 14-s. 3d.; others, 12s. to 12s. 6d.; small half bred wether hoggets, lid. to IC*. 7d.; ewe hoggeta (average to good), 15s. 2d. to 189. At Burnsido to-day 200 fat cattle wero yarded, chiefly medium to inferior quality with a email proportion of prime bullocks. Prime cattle sold at a slight advance on last week's rate, while other sorts were about the same as o. week ago. Fat lambs: 1724 penned, mostly of medium and unfinished quality. Pips: 51 fat nnd 34 stores were penned. Prices for porkers and Imconers ware f-liuhtly easier than last week's biiih rates, this being no doubt duo to the better'supply. Stores met with a ready sale at laet week's rates.
