At the last meeting of the Borough Council a let!er Has lead from the Health Officer, calling attention to the insanitary condition of a certain dwelling in the borough. Tlie council are taking steps to have tiie Health Officer's recommendations carried into effect. The "Herald" commenting on this, considers that tho council should ask the officer to mako a general, inspection of tbe borough, as it considers there aro at-least a scoro of houses which aro a greater menace to public Jieallh than tho one which received tho special attention of tho Health Officer.
