MANGAWEKA.
The Town Board has mow completed tho lighting of all the principal streets in ®langaweka, and also the mile of road leading to the railway station. Improved lighting' is now required at the station, Owing to the ineflicicncy of the present slush lamps, residents mako a practise of carrying a lighted candle, wherewith to "spot" arrivals they aro expecting off tho evening train. Mr. R. W. Smith, M.P., has offered to provide, free of cost, one half of the 1150 feet of timber required to completo the Seddon memorial building at Mangaweka.
