A three-year-old boy, Dcvnn House, who was badly scaldod about the face, arms, and logs at his lioino in Morrin Street, Glenmoro, on Sunday, died at tlio hospital this morning. The injuries resulted from a basin of hot water being accidont. ally spilt over tho boy. WAIKANAE FATALITY. Levin, July 8. Information was recoived in Levin today of tho suicide at Waikanae yesterday of Mrs. Purdy, who cut her throat. An old man named Milno wag found dead at Manakau this morning. CHILD FOUND DEAD. Dunedin, July 8. Silvia May Robertson, aged two months, daughter of Mr. Harold Robertson, living at Pukehiki, on tho Peninsula, was found dead in bed this morning. Uio child is supposed to havo been overlain. SEAMAN HURT. George Persilli, an A.B. on tho steamer Arawn, was injured yesterday afternoon. He was leaning over the side of tho vessel lixing a fendor, when lie missed hie footing and fell on to tho Kings Wharf, a distance of about 15ft. His left arm and left leg were broken, and his loft shoulder was dislocated. Ho is at present in tho Public Hospital.
