TO-DAY'S DINNER.
[Specially Written for The Dominion.] WEDNESDAY. Onion Soup. Corned Beef. Suet Dumplings. Carrots. Turnips, Mashed Potatoes. Apple Fritters. APPLE FRITTERS. Batter.—Flour, }lb., 1 egg, teaspoonful butter, 1 gill tepid water. Put the flour into a basin, beat up the yolk with the water, make a well in the flour, pour in the yolk, and make , a 'ismooth hatter. Add the butter (melted), and just before using, tho white of the egg beaten stiff. Fritters.—Peel and core neatly 2 apples. Cut them in thin slices. Sift a little sugar over, and then dip in the batter and fry in deep smoking hot fat. Drain on paper, and serve at once, with castor sugar sifted over.
