TO-DAY'S DINNER.

[Specially .Written for The Dominion.] TUESDAY. Vegetable soup. Stewed rabbit. Slashed potatoes. Turnips. Apple shortcake. Cream. VEGETABLE SOUP. Three pints stock, 1 carrot, 1 turnip, 1 small onion, 1 small parsnip, a little celery, 1 small teaspoon sugar, 3 tablespoons barley, salt and pepper to taste. Wash and clean the vegetables, and cut them up terj neatly into small dice. Simmer in the stock until tender. Cook the barley separately in water for an hour; then stir it into the soup without straining. Season to taste, bring to the boil, and serve. FOE TO-MORROW. Stock. Onions. Piece of corned beef. Suet.
