MR. J. C. WILLIAMSON. By Teleeraph—PxeEs Association— Copyright Melbourne July 7. The death is announced of Mr. J. C. Williamson, head of the theatrical firm of J. C. Williamson, Ltd. Mr. Williamson died in Paris. A NOTABLE ENTREPRENEUR. James C. Williamson has been the most notable .figuffej in the theatrical world of Australasia, aid probably more plays and companies have been .toured under hi 9 aegis, and those with whom he has been associated from time to time, than all other Australian managers put together. That is an. aohiovemeut—a great one, too, when it is considered what a high standard of performance and production lie aimed at and achieved, particularly in those years when ho personally supervised the presentation of plays.
