SUPPLIES WELL MAINTAINED. Supplies of both vegetables and fruit at the Blair and Allen Street markets haro been well maintained during the Ijast week, although the shipment from bydney wag Ismail whan compared with the previous week. Quite a large proportion of the mandarins this week were in very bad order—indeed, some eold as low as Gd. per case. The Mildura lemons, ex Ulimaroa, came to hand in excellent order, and met a strong demand. A transhipment, via Auckland, of Island oranges and bananas arrived on Tuesday, and sold very welL The usual shipment of Fiji bananas arrived yesterday, and, owing no doubt to the exceedingly small shipment, almost famine prices ruled.
