CITIZENS' CARNIVAL.
The final meeting of the committee elected to take chargo of the motor, cycling portion of the carnival affairs was held at the Town Hall last eveninp, Mr. E. W. Daniel prosiding. Mr. Fletcher moved that tho statement submitted by tho secretary (Mr. C. D. Bridge), showing a balanco of over .£7O, be accepted, and that a voto of thanks bo accorded Mr. Bridge for the work done by him in connection with tho meeting, the motion being carried unanimously. Mr. Ch. W. Korry, organist and director of tho choir of St. John's Presbyterian Church, announces that lie is open to give l&ssons for piano, organ, sinning, harmony, etc. The ladies' eKj?-aml-spoon ma at tho Hutt Skating Rink resulted in ft win for Miss L. Dolling. The mon's egg-nnd-spoon raco was run off in heats on account or largo entries. The final was won by P. Sullivan. The prizes aro to be presonted to-night. The second heat of the men's onn mile race for tho silver cup is also to bo run to-night, and on Thursday night the return hockey match on skates, Qutt y, Kilbirnie Sink, will bs nl&yad»i
