FOUND DEAD IX PARK. Br T«lßerasli—Praai Association—CoorrlgM Auckland, Julv 3. George Jackson, aged 41, was found dead in Albert Park. The body was removed to the morgue. There was money in the pockets,,also a bank-book showing creditof ,£4O. There is no evidence of violence, but the lips are discoloured. FOUND IN THE SURF. Duncdin, July 3. An inquest on Hie body of a. man who was fonnd floating in the surf at St. Kilda yesterday was held to-day. Dr. Gordon Mac Donald stated that" he supposed that the age of deceased would be between 65 and 70 years. Deceased had reddish fair hair and a beard. There were several wounds near the ears,and under the jaw. which might have been caused by fish-bites. On the right forearm an anchor was tattooed, and, on the left arm, two flags were entwined. The Ixidy was not well nourished. A telegraph messenger recognised' deceased as a person who hnd called several times for letters at the Moray Place Post Office. He gave the name of "George Sampson." Constable Marshall said that he found two left luggage tickets bearing the namo ".T. Shanks" in the pockets, and also a Tattersall's ticket with the name "G. Sampson." Witness called at the luggage office, and'got. two parcels, in one of which was a watch with the initials "G.S." on the outside of the case. The coroner said that he must assume that deceased's name was George Sampson, anil that the cause of death was drowning. There was no evidence to show iiow the body got into the water. Against Accidents and Sickness insure with the Ocean Accident and Guaranteo Corporation, Ltd., 117 and 121 Customhouse Quay, Wellington.T-Advt.
