SUMMARY AND FORECAST. Present indications arc lor cloudy and ' unsettled weather, with much inist and rain in many parts . of the country. The barometer is unsteady, and a further fall in the south is likely to, precede a general rise a,bout Friday night. In the meantime, moderate to strong 1 and variable winds may be expected, with westerlies predominating. Barometric pressure has increased in the' south, but decreased steadily in the north. The wind 3 have changed to southerly over the South Island, but westerlies have prevailed, in the north. Earn has fallen generally, and the weather has been dull and foggy in parts. t D. C. BAai/b.
