The House sat at 2.30 p.m. A RESIGNATION. Mr. SPEAKER rend a letter from Mr. A. J. Kutherford, lately clerk assistant to tho House, tondering his resignation, and expressing his regret that 'ill-health made it necessary for him to leave a service which he had found agreeable. Mr. Speoker said ho felt suro all must regrot tho cause of Mr. Rutherford's retirement—ill-health—and they would join with him (Mr. Speaker) in wishing Mr. Rutherford a veturn to health, and a long life, in which to enjoy his w.ell-earned rest.
