Mercantile Agency Co., Ltd.',': Palmerston North, report:—On Monday we held a successful sale of -dairy stock on account of Mr. ■ M.- Jcdfen, of'Bunnythbrpe,'the following prices being realised:—Best cows. £10 to £13 10s.: medium cow®, £6 15s. to £9: backward sorts. £3 ICe. to £6 69., the herd averaging £7 3s. ,5d.; weaners, £1 7s. 6d.; empty store cows. ■ £3 $9.yearling bull. £2 lpa.- ■ Messrs. Abraham and Williams, Ltd., report having , held'a.successful clearing, sale of - -stock, etc.,' on account of Mr. P. 11. Sylvester, of Te Horo, on Friday last. Both sheep and cattle were yarded in first-class , order, and met with a ready demand, competition in, most cases being very keen. Quotations:—4so breeding ewes. 4-tooth to f.f.m., 183. Id.; 60 fat ewes and wethers. £1: 120 fat and. forward wethers, 17s. 9d.; 84 fat - and forward maiden ewes, 15e. 2d;; 225 shorn hoggets; 10s. Id.: 250 shorn hoggets. 10s.; other lines breeding ewc3 (low-con-, diti'oncd), 10s. 2d.; cull lambs, 4s. to 7s. 4d.; rams, -lis.; £0 3-ycar steers, £5-Bs. 23 breeding cows, £3 155.: 10 springing heifers, offered on account of a client, realised from £8 to £8 15s. Williams and Kettle, Ltd., Dannevirko, held their usual fortnightly sale at Woodville, on June 30. when the? offered a full yarding of sheen and a medium an trot cattle to a representative attendance.
