ADDRESS TO. TJIE GOVERNOR, lteprcsentatives of tlio Methodist Conference will present au address. to his Excellency tho Governor (Lord Liverpool) at 11 o'clock this mbruing. The representatives attending will be: The Eev.. S. Lavry (president of the ponferenco), Hon. C. M. Luku (vice-president), the Eev. J. J. Lewis, and the Eev. J. G.; Chapman. Tlio address,- which is printed on silk, and handsomely framed, reads as follows:— ' "May it please your Excellency—'The members of the Conference of the Methodist Church of New Zealand, recently assembled in Wellington, desire to approach your Excellency with assurances of devotion and loyalty, and to render to your Excellency congratulations on your appointment as representative of his Majesty in this Dominion. Permit us to assure your Excellency that; our welcomo is cordial and unreserved. To the Throne and Person of his Most Gracious Majesty, iviiifr George V, we cherish a profound and loving loyalty, and we pray that in the Providence of God our bfjoved King may £njoy a long, prosperous, and happy reign. We pray that the blessing of God may rest upon your Excellency, and her Excellency the Countess of Liverpool during your residence in New Zealand, that your Excellency may lie privileged to see the jwonle of this Dominion advnnce in spiritual, moral, and material power, and that your Excellency may always have happy memories of your association, as his Majesty's representative, with this oversea Dominion.
