' The masler of the steamer Harmattan, has identified the man who is helpless through loss of memory 83 Charles Keefe, "His chief officer. IA cable message last week reported thai "la. well-dressed man, about thirty years of age, apparently is helpless through the loss of his memory. His linen is marked Chas. Keefe. Ho thinks that is his name. He is an Englishman, and ho thinks that he has been in New Zealand. He is wearing an overcoat with a New Zealand mark," Mr. Keefe is a native of England, about 30 years of age, and entered the Union Company's eervico as a junior officer three or four years ago. He resigned from the company about a month agb, and it was then understood he was going to Australia. His last vessel here was tho Union Company's Ifaramu. The Harmattan is an English steamer, and liot port of registry London.
