Messrs. "WVaiid G. Turabull and Co., Ltd. (lato Jamee Macintosh end Co.), report having held their ifr6t sale in their Car* torton yards on Friday, June 27, when they offered a yarding of 1645 sheep and 308 cattle. There was a very large attendance of buyers from all parte of the district, consequently competition was very keen throughout the. rale, with the exception of three pens of sheep the whole yarding was Bold at prices very eatisfactory to vendors. The cattle entry wfi6 about doubio tho advertised numbera, and practically tho wholo yarding was sold under the hammer. Duncan, when they sold the whole of his herd of dairy cows, horses, harness, implements, and sundries. There was a very largo attendance of buyers from all over the district, consequently bidding was brisk, and the cows, being in very good condition, brought the very satisfactory average of £8 6s. The horses, other stock, and implements brought full sale rates.
