Beer, oi Rorauera, died apparently as tho rosuli of injuries sustained in a fall from a gocart two days earlier. On Friday, Mrs, Beer had loft tho baby in the perambulator at tho'back door while slio was busj with household duties. Two small .children ivero ploying about in the yard and, suddenly, Mrs. Boer heard erics ami ran out, to find that tho penambulatoi was overturned, and the Iml>v was or the ground.. Evidently the perambulate! had been touched, and had l'-un down nr incline aud oapsiml. _ Tho baby did jiol seem to bo hurt, and 'was eoon nil right but on Saturday it became unwell, ant Dr. Williams wis called in. Tho chile died on Sunday morning, and a doctoi was unable to certify as to the cause oi death. , CHILDREN & FIREARMS. THE FAIL OP A LOADED GUN. „ Woodvllle, June 30. The five-year-old son of John Todd fanner, PnpataWn, was shot dead 01 Saturday afternoon. Sutcliffe and Miss Lawrence, fel forty .-feet over tho cliff on to tho beacl at tlm east end of the foreshore, both re coiving fractures of tho pelvis. Suteliffi managed to crawl some distance for as instance. His injuries aro not vcr; serious, but Miss Lawrence is in a critica' condition. CHRISTCHURCH INQUESTS. Christchurch, Juno 30. At tho inquest on Ellon Baillie, mar ried, aged GO, a verdict of death fron heart disease was returned. John Benjamin Hush, aged 45, died ii the hospital yesterday from a. fracture* Bkull, the result of la fall. At tho in quest evidence was given that ho wa subject to epileptic fits. DUNEDIN FATALITIES. Dunedln, June 30. Brio Walker, aged two, died suddenl; yesterday at his jiarents' residence at Si Kilda. Ada Baxter, a girl, died at Mrs. Eady' house, near Mount Carglll._ As tho medi cal men were unable to give certificate of the cause of death, inquests will b held in both cases. OLD MAN'S BODY FOUND. Grcymouth, Juno SO. Thomas Mahcr, agod seventy-throo, am living alone in a hut at Cobden, has bcei missing since Juno 9. The body wa found yesterday floating in tho Cobdei Lagoon. At tho inquest a verdict of fount drowned was returned. Against 'Accidents and Sickness insur with tho Ocean Accident and Guaranty Corporation, Ltd., 117 and 121 Custom house Quay, Wellington.—Advt.
