It was resolved that in tho event of any ground not' being properly marked out, referees should declare the match "off." The Wellington Rugby Union Is to be notified of this decision. . The captain of the' St. James ,Club wrote in praise of the refereeing of 'Mr. Keys, who controlled the St. James—Victoria College match, which was played last Saturday. Mr. C. Eyre, recently from Dunedin, and formerly a member of the Referees' Association' there, was elected a member of the Wellington Association.
