ARMED FOOTPADS ON TRIAL. By Telegraph-Press Association-Copyright (Rec. July 1, 1.5 a.m.) Sydney, June 30. The two men named Cox and Lawrence have been committed for trial on charges of breaking and entering tho house of Captain Cox, on April 2-1, and stealing jewellery valued at .£300; also, on June ID, of assaulting and robbing Miss Cox of a ring valued at ,£IOO. Earlier in the night a man named Leg- , gatt was driving on the Belmore Road when two masked men jumped out of concealment. Leggatt handed over ,£3O, and' then, jumping out of tho buggy, started to run. One of the highwaymen fired, wounding him in the arm. Bohi men then decamped.]
