LONDON PERSONALS. London, May 22. Sir Walter Buchanan left last week for New York, en route for New Zealand. Bishop Wallis, late Bishop of Wellington. has been given by tho Bishop of Salisbury a prebondal stall in the Cathedral. Mr. G. Thompson and Mr. R.. Cooper, of Auckland, are in England. Mr. Hewitson, of Auckland, leaves London in a few days for tho provinces. Mr. and Miss Peter, of Wellington, intend spending several months in England. Mr., Mrs., and Miss Stanners, of Taranaki, have booked their return passage for September. Mr. John I''orguson, of Auckland, is spending a few days in London before going to Glasgow. Mr. Christopher Cotter, of Christehiirib, has come to England to feaia further experience in electrical engineering. Mr. and Mrs. D. Ites, of Wanijanui, expect to bo in England till September. During that time they intend to visit Scotland and Ireland. • Mr. and Mrs. Peter Gourdio, of Asliburton, who havo be-.n in l'aris for s.nne "hionths, are now in London, (ntfrwill later ' tour ,in England, Scotland,; and Ireland. ' Mrs. Mowbray n.nd her two daughters and Miss J., A,-Mowbray, intend to remain"in Ixindon until July,' and then will pay a round of visits in Scotland. ' Mr. Mark Davis, of Christehtircli, with his 6ister, Miss Davis, stayed in tho Riviera for some little time on their way to England. They leave again in September next. • The Rev. Canon Diggens, who was for some years in Nbt Zealand, has been presented, by the Dean of Windsor, with the living of St. Stophens-by-Saltash, in East Cornwall. Mrs. A. J. Reed, of Te Arolia, and .her son, are staying at present at Woodheid Hall, near Cheodle (Staffordshire), but return to London this week. They return home in September. Mr. S. Percy Smith, Surveyor-Goneral of New Zealand for many years, is in London, accompanied by his sister, Mi>3 E, C. Percy Smith. ' Mr. and Sirs. William Kopple, of Christchurch, arrived in London after a month in Buenos, Ayres, bringing with them their son and his wife and child fro~n Buenos Ayres. They leave for Ireland shortly. Mr. and Mrs. Henry Wood, of Christchurch, are in Surrey. They came to England to nlaci their daughter at selio'd at St. James s bchool, West Malvern. Mrs. Wood will stay in England for some time. Mr. and Mrs. N. C. Aicken, of Christchurch, are staying at Sidcup, where they are the guests of Mr. Joseph Murgatroyd (Mrs. Aicken's brother). Their plans include visits to all parts of Groat Britain, and tlioy return to New Zealand vh Franco and Italy. Mrs. Fitzclarence Roberts, Dnnedin, and her daughter, Mrs. William Collins, are in England for a few months. This week they are visiting Oxford, and later will ■ motor in Ireland and Scotl;." 1. On f,, e way to England they visitvi Holland anu Paris, where Mrs. Collins left her four children and their governess. Mrs. Roberts and Mrs. Collins will return to the Continent after their trip in Scotland.
