Sir James Lew was appointed Chaplain-in-Ordinary to the King in Scotland in 1901, H# was Dean of the Order of the TJiTslle, and of the Chapel HoyM of Scotland. Ho waa bom in London in July, JB3i, and educated in London and at Glasgow and Aberdeen Universities. From 1881 to 1001 lie was Chaplain to IJneen Victoria. His publications include: "History of the Abbey of Paisley," "History of St. Giles's, Edinburgh" (lie was in turn minister at the churches named), "Tobersmorey," "Stroubuy," "Life aud Conduct," and "A Historv of the Caunfcr of Inverness."
