In tho Probate Division of the Higli Court of Justice to-day tho hearing of tilt objection of Mr. Malcolm Scott to rlit granting of probato of the will of hi; brother, Sir John Murray Scott, was continued. Sir lid ward Carson, K.C., is representing lord and Lady Sacltville, and the Eight Hon. F. B. Smith, K.C., i! counsel for Jlr. Malcolm Scott. Tho evidence chiefly wont to ahorv thai influence was exerted on Sir John Scotl by Lady Sackrille. . Sir Edward Carson sharply cross-ox amined Miss Alicia Scott, the testator': sistor, 08 to ' her reasons for destroying her brother's letters and papers. Shi admitted that Sir John Murray Scott gavi his two sisters XIO.OOO in 1899, hnd tha' they lator received tho interest on JEIOO,OOI and half the residue estate, also thp pic tures and furniture ot the testator's lah rosidenco at 5 Connaught Plaoe, whicl this week fetched ,£IIO,OOO at auction. The witness admitted that Sir John wa thoroughly sane and able to fish, shoot and enjoy himself. Sir Edward Carson, in cross-examinini Walter Scott, elicited that the family di< not bring accusations of' immorality Tho cross-examination suggested thai Wal ter Scott fell in love with Jjady Sackvill- | and feared to tell Sir John. Soon afte Walter Scott had an attnek of brail fevor, and kept crying for Lady Sackvill in delirium. The witness denied this. Tho hearing was adjourned until Moil day.
